The world today is not fair, because most of us are just so comfortable with ourselves, <\/span>while every day I see people being emotional and complaining over little small things and claiming it to be big, there is so much more for us to see.<\/p>\n

See it yourself. Be fair, you are here for a reason.<\/p>\n

As said from Script.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“You know, it\u2019s not hard to see that there is this great imbalance,
\nand that thing isn’t right.<\/p>\n

I know that, but for me, I suppose it really hits home
\nif I stop and think about this moment,
\ncause it\u2019s happening right now.<\/p>\n

In the same moment, you have a generation
\nwho are sitting around entertaining themselves,
\nwatching reality television,
\nwhich, to be honest, is anything but real,
\nwhile you have a child who is being prostituted behind closed doors,<\/em>
\nand robbed of their innocence<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not fair that we can go about consuming
\nevery single material option that comes our way
\nwhile the widow and orphan are stripped of life\u2019s basic dignities<\/em>
\nbecause they\u2019re victims of a conflict that simply isn\u2019t theirs.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not fair that there\u2019s a generation
\nwho are choking on their obesity,
\nwhile, at the same time,<\/em>
\nthere’re 30,000 children who will die today<\/em>
\nfor lack of food.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not fair that we have no problem going about
\nspending $3 or $4 on what is basically
\nglorified tap water in a bottle with a fancy label,
\nwhile you have entire communities suffer at the hands of disease<\/em>
\nbecause the only water they have access to is foul and polluted.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not fair that we can sing and dance and jump around
\nin our freedom and in our liberty,
\nwhile, at the same time,<\/em>
\nthe slave remains captive out of sight and out of mind.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not fair that we can sit and watch the evening news
\nfrom the comfort of our living rooms
\nand pity those who lived where the storm hit
\nor where the ground shook<\/em>
\nor where the water rose,<\/em>
\nand simply feel sorry for them<\/em>
\nand then change the channel<\/em>
\nand get on with supper.<\/em><\/p>\n

Is it fair to walk past the homeless man and give him nothing
\nin the assumption that he\u2019ll spend it on booze or cigarettes,
\nor to suggest that he should go out and get a job?<\/p>\n

I mean, who are we to judge
\nthe alcoholic
\nor the prostitute
\nor the addict
\nor the criminal
\nas if we are any better?<\/p>\n

Who are we to forget
\nthe downtrodden
\nor the oppressed
\nor the marginalized,
\nwhile we go about chasing the dream?<\/p>\n

We see this imbalance and we amend,
\n\u201cThat\u2019s not right. That\u2019s not fair.\u201d<\/p>\n

But all too often, that\u2019s all we do.<\/p>\n

Because for us to do anymore,
\nis actually going to cost us something.<\/p>\n

And if that\u2019s where it ends,
\nperhaps then it\u2019s fair to say
\nthat when we ignore the prostituted child,
\nthat we actually lend our hand to their abuse.<\/p>\n

That when we ignore the widow and the orphan in their distress,
\nthat we actually add to their pain.<\/p>\n

When we ignore the slave who remains captive,
\nthat it\u2019s us whose entrapping them.<\/p>\n

That when we forget the refugee,
\nthat it\u2019s us who\u2019s displacing them.<\/p>\n

That when we choose not to help the poor and the needy,
\nthat we actually rob them.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the only fair thing to say
\nis that when we forsake the lives of others,
\nwe actually forsake our own.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
