I literally fell in love with it at first sight. Meet Sky Garden House (man no better name?) by Guz Architects<\/a>. Their projects focus pretty much on residential and if you browse through their projects, they really share the same philosophy approach and design. I was searching for my assignment case study, however, this sky garden was not what I choose but Fish House<\/a> instead. Reason being because more things for me to study I guess. But however, both really share the same things! Enjoy viewing!<\/p>\n

This house is located on a new housing estate on the island of Sentosa adjacent to Singapore. The plots are not large and neighboring buildings are built close to the sides of each house.<\/p>\n

Thus their strategy was to build a solid wall to each side\u00a0neighbor\u00a0to provide privacy where possible while creating a central light and stair well which would funnel the sea breeze through the center of the building. The front and rear of the building meanwhile, terrace back allowing each story to have visual or actual access to greenery.<\/p>\n

The intention was to try to allow each roof garden provided a base for the story above allowing the layered effect to make each story feel like it was a single story dwelling sitting in a garden.as much as we could do in the close confines of Sentosa island and with such a large building!!<\/p>\n

Seriously, I don’t think there’s a need to talk about Green Building here, the philosophy approach itself has already maximized the passive design of it and no one can disagree that this building really integrates well into the landscape and nature by its organic shape at some point. Awesome eh?<\/p>\n
