Food Review: Soong Kee Beef Noodle @ Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin

I may not be a good food review, but for a person who has been eating in the same old place since childhood, the never faded familiar taste would certainly make me write one.

Restoran Soong Kee is located on a corner lot at No. 3, Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin (previously known as Jln Silang) in Kuala Lumpur. There is an RHB Bank across the road. Jalan Tun Tan Siew Sin is around the vicinity of Wisma Hamzah-Kwong Hing and Bank of Tokyo as well as Lebuh Ampang. This place is also known to be around Dataran Merdeka., this business is heard to be well over 60 years and being the 2nd generation in charge.

It’s seriously one none like other, beef noodles. As much as I’m not really good at describing the taste, but it’s always unique to have a 100% home cook recipe tasting not like any other. The pictures may be simple, the dish is simple in fact, need not go with the deco’s or whatsoever, but ever since more than 10 years ago till a few days ago, the taste never changed. Always have the never ending satisfaction each time I spoon through them.

They are of course good in their noodles, and beef balls! yeap, the texture of it really stands out I guess. Sadly I didn’t take down the pricing, but a large bowl would cost RM6. Small would cost RM5. I think it’s worth a shot to try if you around there then. Check out the map.
